The associate team Hypatie is a joint research team between the PLATON team at Inria Saclay and the Nonlinear Dynamics and Control group of Imperial College London. It aims at developing numerical methods for the design and monitoring of vibrations in nonlinear structures in the presence of uncertainty.
Research topics
The team works on the following research axes:
- development of optimization algorithms for nonlinear dynamic systems by considering directly nonlinear features
- robust topology optimization algorithms for nonlinear vibrations
- optimization algorithms for the placement of sensors to capture accurately and efficiently nonlinear features of interest while being robust to measurement noise.
- development of robust model updating algorithms that can deal with partial data and nonlinear behaviours (mode varies, nonlinear features, etc.)
