Title (Arthur): Deliberation towards single peaked preferences: first thoughts
Abstract: In this internship we lay down first ideas regarding the use of argumentative deliberation for social choice. More precisely we are interested in avoiding certain known unfavorable properties of user preferences that are used as voting input. We focus on the single peakedness preference structuration and formalise a deliberation protocol that helps bringing preference profiles closer to such structure. We study the theoretical properties of such protocol and prove in an empirical manner its desirable behavior.
