DIVA

DIVA (Data Integration and Visualization in Augmented and Virtual Environments) is a software platform jointly developed by the Pasteur Institute’s Decision and Bayesian Computation lab and the Curie Institute’s Light-Based Observation and Control of Cellular Organization lab.

DIVA is a software platform that permits the analysis of biomedical and microscopy images using virtual reality. Based on their experimentally acquired imaging data, it virtually places users inside rich 3D environments. Highly interactive, it serves as an exploratory platform for data comprehension and diagnoses and an analysis vehicle for extracting relevant information in various unique data formats. This powerful tool is compatible with all tomographic image types, whether from an MRI, CT or confocal microscope. Subject to a collaboration between the Institut Pasteur and Institut Curie, it is one of the first software tools to combine user–data interaction, immersive visualization and data processing to improve our understanding of complex scientific images.
