Šejla Čebirić is a PhD student at the French Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation (INRIA, CEDAR Research team) and École Polytechnique, under the supervision of professors François Goasdoué and Ioana Manolescu. Her PhD is focused on large-scale RDF graph summarization. Šejla received her bachelor’s and master’s degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Sarajevo. During her studies, she gained experience in the industry through several internships: within the Internship Program of the German Business she was selected for an internship by SAP Germany where she worked on the SAP Hana Graph Engine, while in MIBO Communications in Sarajevo she interned as a web developer. In 2014, she joined INRIA for a master’s thesis internship and has since worked on the topic of RDF graph summarization, as a research engineer after the internship, and now as a PhD student. In 2016, she was selected by Google as one of the twenty scholars in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region for The Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship (now known as Women Techmakers Scholars Program).
