Overview
Our team (Cancer dynAmicS, adapTation, and modelING) is a collaborative research group shared by Inria, Inserm, the Centre Léon Bérard, Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) de Lyon, and CNRS.
The team is hosted within the “Centre de Recherche contre le Cancer de Lyon” (CRCL) at Centre Léon Bérard and the “Unité des Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées” (UMPA) at ENS de Lyon.
We are part of the “Integrated Analysis of Cancer Dynamics” team (CRCL), with additional members from UMPA.
Research overview
Our research integrates mathematical modeling and computational biology with experimental data (in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo) to improve the understanding of cancer’s evolutionary dynamics at various stages, from normal tissue to pre-neoplastic phases and ultimately to fully established malignant tumors. This work focuses on cancers of the head, neck, lung, and breast, with a particular interest in the selective pressures exerted by systemic therapies.
Our team’s strength lies in a collaboration among mathematicians, bioinformaticians, biologists, and clinicians associated with the Centre Léon Bérard, working together to develop models that enhance patient care. This research has the potential to open new pathways for improving cancer risk assessment, devising innovative preventive strategies, and optimizing systemic therapies for established tumors.
