Ziming LiuPhD studentShort bioZiming Liu is working in the ACENTAURI team, INRIA, France, with Dr. Philippe Martinet and Dr. Ezio Malis. Before that, he obtained a master degree in software engineering from BIT – Beijing Institute of Technology, China, supervised by Prof. Guangyu Gao. He also worked closely with Dr. Lin Sun at Magic Leap Inc. and Prof. Kai Qin at Swinburne University of Technology during this period. In 2020, he interned at the Short-video understanding group, Meituan Inc., working on the video algorithm, and he also has working experience in non-governmental organizations for environmental protection from 2015-2016. Research InterestsHis current research topic is visual perception and localization for autonomous driving applications. This subject is concerned with vision perception for the geometry and semantic information of environments, as well as robot localization using visual information. Specifically, he focuses on the hybrid method with deep learning and traditional model-based methods. During his master, he worked on the topics of video understanding and detection.
