Short bio

Siddharth Singh Savner obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electronics and Communication Engineering from RGPV Bhopal, India, in 2010 and 2014, respectively. Following a teaching tenure at Acropolis Institute, Indore, from 2014 to 2018, he pursued a PhD in Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore between 2019 and 2024. His doctoral research centered on developing advanced algorithms, uncertainty quantification methods, and active learning strategies for crowd counting, leveraging computer vision and deep learning techniques.

Since January 2025, Siddharth has been a postdoctoral researcher with the ACENTAURI team at Inria, Sophia Antipolis, University of Côte d’Azur. His work focuses on the AISENSE project, which seeks to improve the performance and safety of autonomous vehicles by integrating model-based and data-driven approaches.

Research Interests

His research interests include Signal Processing, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Crowd Counting, Uncertainty Quantification, Active Learning, Probabilistic Modeling, and Visual Perception and Localization for Robotics and Autonomous Vehicles.
