Monica FossatiPhD studentShort bioMonica Fossati graduated in Advanced Robotics from the University of Genoa (Italy) and the Ecole Centrale de Nantes (France), in 2023, participating in the EMARO+ double degree program. She joined the ACENTAURI team in February 2023 for an internship focused on “Decision-making for Autonomous Driving in Urban Environment”. Since October 2023 he has been working on the PhD project entitled “Safe Navigation in Urban Environment” in which he is trying to extend the work done previously improving the situation awareness of the system. Research InterestsHer research interests are in the field of autonomous robotics, especially in self-driving cars. More specifically, they revolve around employing ontologies to model the knowledge of systems, with the aim of imparting a comprehensive understanding of the external world to the system. I strive to enable the system to make informed decisions within stochastic environments, contributing to the broader fields of knowledge representation, machine learning, and decision-making in dynamic settings. |
