Malek AifaEngineerShort bioMalek Aifa is an Embedded System developer with a keen interest in integrating machine learning into smart controllers, coupled with a passion for IoT and robotics innovation. He holds an engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in IoT and Embedded Systems Engineering, from the National Engineering School of Tunis. During his internship at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon (INSA Lyon) from March 2023 to July 2023, Malek engineered a Lagrangian Physics-Informed Neural Network (LPINN) on a cloud-based Linux server. This innovative approach unified physical principles with neural networks to architect intelligent controllers. The LPINN demonstrated high-performance results with limited data, overcoming common data-driven model limitations. Malek validated the LPINN-powered controller on a sophisticated 6-axis robot, contributing to advancements in remote medical operations. Prior to this, at Capgemini Engineering (November 2022 – January 2023), he worked as an Embedded Software Engineer Intern in Tunis, Tunisia. In this role, Malek developed a software component for in-car USB MP3 playback, integrated with the AUTOSAR classic platform. His work achieved DO-178C compliance through unit testing and embedding logging functions, ensuring the highest level of software integrity. Malek’s early experience as a freelancer on Fiverr from June 2014 to August 2017 showcased his commitment to punctuality and precision. Delivering over 350 C++ programming tasks with a 100% satisfaction rate, he demonstrated his ability to innovate and develop sophisticated software for Linux platforms, enhancing user experience and functionality. Research InterestsIn his personal projects, Malek showcased his technical prowess by developing a flexible manufacturing cell using BOOST.UI C++ library and implementing a self-stabilizing remote-controlled drone with facial recognition capabilities. His leadership experience includes serving as the President of the Electrical Engineering Club at ENIT, where he secured significant sponsorships and internships, and as the Founder of the IEEE AESS Chapter-ENIT Student Branch, achieving notable success in global programming challenges. Malek is proficient in various programming languages, including Python, Matlab, JavaScript, C, C++, VHDL, and VB.NET. His expertise extends to using tools such as Linux, Altium, Solidworks, Xilinx Vivado, Visual Studio, PSIM, KiCAD, Unity, Arduino IDE, Git, and RTOS. He holds certificates in Machine Learning in Python/GIS, Raspberry Pi, Electronics Projects Troubleshooting, TOEIC, and TCF. |
