Ludovica DanovaroMaster studentShort bioLudovica Danovaro graduated in Electronic Engineering and Information Technology from the University of Genoa in September 2022. Currently, she is enrolled in the European Master on Advanced Robotics (EMARO), a double-degree program in collaboration with the University of Genoa and the École Centrale de Nantes. Ludovica is actively engaged in an internship at INRIA within the ACENTAURI team for her master’s thesis on the topic “Comparison of advanced control methods for autonomous navigation of a mobile platform in a human-populated environment.” The thesis focuses on the challenge of autonomous navigation in human environments, particularly on the control aspect, analyzing and comparing different advanced control techniques used to optimize robot actions in dynamic, uncertain, and human-populated environments. The aim of the thesis is to solve and avoid the Freezing Robot Problem by making the robot anticipate and adapt to human behavior in shared spaces. Research InterestsHer research interests lie in robotics, specifically in the field of autonomous navigation, with a focus on the control aspect. |
