Abstract:

My work at INRIA concerns the comparison of two methods for studying acne and folliculitis lesions and hyperpigmentation of the skin. At the beginning I had to adapt an existing model based on Marked Point Processes and initially developed for flamingo’s population count on dermatological images of acne and folliculitis. Then I developed an algorithm which uses mathematical morphology and volume and shadows compensation. Finally I compared the results in term of detection.

Short Bio:

Adrien Lacage is currently a postgraduate student in applied mathematics in the University Bordeaux I, France, for the master degree entitled “Signal and Image Processing”. In 2012 he has been an intern for 6 months in the INRIA Sophia Antipolis-Méditerranée reseach center, working in the AYIN team on detection of skin lesions and hyperpigmentation using marked point poincesses and mathematical morphology.
